Welcome to Barnett Psychological Services, where we specialize in providing psychotherapy treating young adults (18-24), adults (25-64), active duty service members, first responders, and their families. My goal is to create an environment that helps foster positive growth by helping you develop insight and understanding about how past experiences and conflicts can affect current behavior. Therapy sessions will focus on creating a safe, accepting, non-judgmental and self-led explorative space in which you can better understand who you are, unlock your potential, and break unhelpful old patterns of behavior. We strive to help clients work towards positive change and to meet your treatment goals.

As a dedicated trauma specialist, my mission is to guide individuals in processing, understanding, and transforming the way they perceive themselves, others, and the world around them. I firmly believe that reshaping thought patterns can profoundly influence emotions, ultimately leading to meaningful changes in behavior. My practice is rooted in compassion and evidence-based approaches, empowering clients to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and hope.

As a psychologist specializing in grief and loss as well, I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to help you process your emotions, find meaning, and move toward healing. Grief and loss are deeply personal experiences that can profoundly impact every aspect of life. Whether you're coping with the death of a loved one, the end of a significant relationship, or another form of loss, navigating these emotions can feel overwhelming and isolating. With specialized training and years of experience in grief counseling, I understand that each person’s journey through loss is unique. My approach is tailored to your individual needs, drawing on evidence-based therapies to support you in rebuilding a sense of hope and resilience. Together, we can work through the pain, honor your loss, and help you find a path forward. If you're struggling with grief, you don't have to face it alone.
